Computers have been my passion since the first personal computer arrived on the scene. I started this web page long ago at the prompting of my college friend, who got me started using Frontpage to develop my web pages. I still use Frontpage mostly because I’m familiar with it and can work fastest in it.

I’ve wanted to incorporate a WordPress blog into my webpage for a long time. When I realized that folks were using WordPress as their website management tool, I figured I’d give it a try too. So here we are and let’s see how it goes!

Some of my interests include:
Video games – My favorite all-time game is Oblivion. I sometimes play World of Warcraft. In the past, I loved playing Animal Crossing and Harvest Moon with my kids
Macrobiotics – I followed this eating lifestyle for quite awhile. After my last child was born I gradually got away from it and tried to get back into it. I’ve had recent urgings to try to bring myself back to a good macrobiotic diet and lifestyle regimen.
Web design – it’s fun and relaxing for me
Photography and Flickr – I got a digital camera while ago to learn to use digital images and Photoshop. It’s fun incorporating my photos into Flickr.
Astronomy – Hello. My name is Lisa. I am an amateur astronomer.   ☺ I’ve accepted that I’ll probably never be a professional astronomer, even though that was my career direction since childhood. At one point I plan to buy a very nice telescope and do some astrophotography.
Star Trek – I’ve been a maniac since I first saw Mr. Spock when my brother was watching the show.  Deep Space Nine is my favorite series.
All things Japanese – I don’t know why. I’ve had this craze since I was a little kid.
Martial Arts – I earned my first degree black belt (shodan) in Shotokan Karate years ago. I don’t train regularly any longer, but the art still interests me. I’m interested in finding a school that fits my new needs in the area where I now live.
